Not happy no results

I joined NJ Singles in APRIL of 2018 - I had 1 VERY BAD meetup, the next person they gave me couldn't even talk on the phone - sounded like a 90yr old person 3rd person they sent to me INFORMED ME that he had PARKINSONS - NJ SINGLES NEVER told me that - my husband DIED with Parkinsons!! You can imagine how I felt!!! HOW could I go thru that horrible experience again! I SPECIFICALLY asked for JEWISH GENTLEMEN! they ASSURED me that they had plenty of available males of my faith! WELL - the first one was NOT jewish, and then TWO DUDS! I signed up for FIVE meets - I had only ONE and it is already 6 months into the contract and they can't STILL have not contacted me! How long am I supposed to wait before they can find ONE gentleman to meet with after so many months? I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!

BAD RESPONSES

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When I signed up I SPECIFICALLY requested JEWISH gentlemen! They ASSURED me that that had MANY Jewish persons on their data file to fix up with me! They sell you for 5 MEETS, yet the consider a phone number as a MEET - THAT IS JUST PLAIN Deceptive when a phone call is just to get to familiarize you with an individual and if there is "chemistry" you would want to set up a meet! WELL - since APRIL -OVER 4 MONTHS ago they talked me into going out with 1 guy who was GROSS! Then they finally found 1 Jewish person who I spoke on the phone. he could barely speak - sounded like he had been a heavy smoker and it could be heard in his voice - then I found out that he wasn't a lively, ambitious individual! He sounded "just plain DULL" THIS WAS NOT what I signed up for. NJ Singles told me that he was HANDSOME - WELL - he did send me his picture - IF he was "handsome" I would HATE to see what they mean by "not handsome: His face alone was downer! I do note need a movie star, but just an reasonable looking guy - NOT by the looks of him - I IMMEDIATELY told NJ Singles that there was no "chemistry" either way and we would NOT meet! - THEN they CLAIMED that this was my completed introduction #2 ! How is that????? We never got together! WHAT A SCAM!!!!!

LOUSY HOOKUPS

New Jersey Singles - LOUSY HOOKUPS

I requested a man of MY religion and sophisticated!

1st guy recommended - NOT of my religion & wanted to go to dinner in SHORTS to a fine restaurant! I insisted on long pants - it is NOT summer yet! He continuously spoke of how OYSTERS helps him keep it "up" etc - AND he was supposed to be well traveled - HE only "traveled for BUSINESS within the US and every year vacationed at the SAME hotel every time and he played golf while his past wife sat n the beach alone! THEN HE STUCK me for 1/2 the bill for the meal!

Since he was supposed to be "quite well off" I was SHOCKED!

The 2nd guy they tried to hook me up with was my religion but had trouble talking - very harsh, gruff voice

and I would NOT meet with him - It's been weeks since I heard from NJ Singles - SO I guess they REALLY DO NOT HAVE men of my faith in their membership - I guess they REALLY LIED TO ME about it - WHAT A SCAM!

I have read numerous articles about being single over the age of 50.I am a divorced mother of three grown children: two daughters and a son. Two of my children are lawyers, one is an architect.I intrinsically feel that single men in my age group are so superficial today. I find dating at my age to be very frustrating. All men want today is to have “friends with benefits”.

I signed in, next day I realized, that I am paying southlands dollars for some air.

I called next morning to cancel, there is no way to cancel it, when you fell in their charming talk.

What happened next. They don't have enough people to operate with, They sent me so called "referral"

-first man was not even in the country, he quit this site long before,

Second man was not anywhere close to my orientation, we spoke for one minute on the phone.

For this experience I paid $4000, and it is the lowest price.

Ladies, don't get on this scam hook.

I’m new here and beginning to agree with you.I have had two referrals. One, didn’t even carry a conversation and the other one couldn’t stop bragging about how he still wears pant sizes from 30 years ago.

Yuck!! This is NOT what I paid thousands for.

Wish I had seen these comments before I joined $1500 2 men that I never even met that were totally unacceptable and one man that I did meet decent guy what's definitely not my type and not the quality of man that I would date I am going to Sue them in small claims court. This New Jersey singles company is a scam I would never have joined if I thought that the quality of the men that they would be setting I was so low I don't need new friends I need an exceptional man in my life I am not bored and I am not lonely they take your money and then they do whatever they want certainly not what they introduced me to at the interview.

Fraud company

They claim to match their customers with people they want to meet, but, in the end, they do not. They are the worst dating agency! Do NOT waste your money. They match you with anyone, disregarding any preferences they wrote down in your interview and profile. They only care about selling memberships, caring nothing about their service. This firm should be shut down! FRAUDS! {{REDACTED}}

If it feels like a scam... It is a scam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I recently got a call from NJ Singles after i filled up a form online. the woman on the phone was nice for a few min conversation. she did not want to discuss prices over the phone. she set me up with an appointment for 90 min talk and she asked me to come with 3 pieces of ID, suggested that a lot of people come with a credit card. When i got off the phone I already felt that something is off. I gave too much personal information, name, address, email, phone, personal situation, annual income... the works, but this company still asks me for more information including 3 pieces of ID... they gave me nothing so far. I did a search on google 'how much New Jersey singles cost' and what do you know, tons of scam report by consumers has been reported. I appreciate people notifying others of their bad experiences, you guys saved me a lot of money. obviously I called to cancel that appointment I felt bad about in the first place. when i called to cancel she was nice as long as she thought she could sway me back to have the appointment after all, once she realized it won't happen, she wasn't nice anymore. I would stay away from New Jersey Singles and thank god cause you I just saved myself a few thousand dollars. don't fall for it.

New Jersey singles is a scam as soon as they have you in their office all they want is your financial information and credit card to see what your limit is and then they go for the jugular!

I'm enraged and at a loss for words after being pushed and manipulated by a pushy persuasive "sales person" to attend this appointment. The minute I walked into this appointment I knew this outfit was a scam. No sooner did I get done filling some forms that mean absolutely nothing except a way to find out your finances and size you up so that they can play the right card on how much they will scam for! After sitting with this "relationship specialist" over 2 1/2 hours and made to feel that life is passing me by because I want to put off spending thousands of dollars to get a membership with no guarantee of meeting the right person I was ready to bolt out of there! instead I stayed only to find out that New Jersey Singles is only out to get as much of your money as they can possibly squeeze out of you. The reason this appointment is so LONG about 3 hours of your time is to be sure they get every last dime you may have! WHAT A SCAM. Don't get suckered into making an appointment. Do your diligent work and research this company do not join, DO YOUR DILIGENT WORK AND FIND OUT WHO THEY REALLY ARE.

NJ Singles is a huge mess

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I don't know if people reading this will be happy or not, but I DID NOT fall for the nonsense from NJ Singles, in part because I had seen this site. After I first contacted them, the woman I spoke to called me 7 or 8 times to get me in for an appointment. However, I began seeing someone and had my doubts about NJ Singles, so I did not call back. The 7 or 8 calls led me to think they are desperate. In addition, during my initial conversation with the woman, I noticed she said a few things that were somewhat unprofessional. So that was two strikes: desperate and dumb. Now single again, I went in for a recent interview, with my guard up. Here's what happened: They gave me a questionnaire to fill out, to make it seem they have people JUST FOR ME and JUST LIKE ME. Then they interviewed me. The woman I spoke with managed to insult and *** me off in a few ways. For one, I don't like people telling me what to do or who is right for me, which she did. And which was funny because it contradicted my life experience. So much for choice! Yes, I have dated much younger women. I'm not bragging, just saying it worked FOR US. I don't need someone telling me what a mistake I made, because I did not make any mistakes. I simply don't think they even have many women under age 25 there!!! I also noticed the pressure tactics. "You want kids, you better hurry up." I don't need to hurry up, any more than that 30 year old guy who posted here is "running out of time" to meet someone. This is all emotional blackmail to scare you into joining. The only clock really ticking is the one that allows them to stay in business until their reputation becomes so bad they need to reinvent themselves or disappear. I almost laughed out loud when they showed me their prices. No surprise they kept them hidden until the end. I mean, 11k for the main package?! The cheapest was 4k, 3.5 k with their "discount."!!! And what do you get? Five referrals!! No joke. And it's a game. As soon as you balk, they start throwing in some extras and lowering the price until you get to the point where you have almost everything included in the most expensive package!!! That package is really only there to make the others seem "reasonable" and for the very few who fall for it!!! By the time we were done, 3.5k was down to 1.5 k!!! It also included he ability to put my membership "on hold", and be matched with women in NJ Singles supposed other NJ locations. Lowering a price that much is unheard of. The initial price is scandalous, just there to make it seem like you are now getting a good deal. Ever get a car for less than half the original price!!! Didn't think so. Ok, here's the deal: When I was younger I jointed two dating agencies. I got burned, but I learned about the tricks they used, which saved me from getting burned big time here!! That was about 15 years ago, and I paid about $600 for about 10 referrals. The woman from NJ Singles had no answer for this except to pathetically mumble that maybe they were smaller agencies. I got a partial refund from the first, Matchmaker Intl, after threatening to sue. I did sue the second, Great Dates Unlimited, and won, including watching the judge humiliate the owner. And this was a laid back judge. I had watched about 20 of his case before ours came up. Still, the owner refused to refund me, which led to me sending the police to his office, and damaging his credit. Look, what many dating agencies, even online, do is promise a certain number of referrals, leads, whatever. That is pretty vague. You don't know if the "referral" will be seeing someone else when you call (despite the company's claims), will even answer your call, or even be working for the agency. For example, because men tend to outnumber women at these things, women often get free or discounted memberships if they agree to talk to or even date a certain number of men. So the women are not even there because they want to be; they are working off their free membership, or are employees of the company!!! So you get "rejected" by someone with no interest in anyone!! But that counts towards their referral obligation. Problems with the system: 1- You may have to wait months to meet even one referral (contrary to claims). In the mean time, they hope you meet someone elsewhere and leave them alone...or give up. 2- You may NEVER meet the number of referrals promised. They hope you find someone somewhere else or just give up. They give NO TIMELINES, JUST REFERRALS. They promise you a "referral", not a person or a date, let alone someone not crazy!!! 3- If you do talk to or meet a referral, they likely are NOT what you requested, or even close. The hope is that you will be so desperate you just settle for that person. 4- They will play on your insecurities. 5- They will create bogus problems and restrictions for you: you're getting old to get pregnant, too old to meet someone, etc!! 6- They also use the "you are easy to match" line, as a way to make you feel better and more comfortable. They use every trick they can think of, every angle, including a good deal of TRUE comments and reality in order to SEEM honest. In fact, because of their cost, the growth of online dating, and the bad reputation of such real life agencies, they will have a hard time finding you much of anything, no matter how open minded and desirable you are. 7- They will blame it on you: "You are too picky." "You are too close minded." "NO, YOU ARE TOO CORRUPT," should be your response. So that's how most operate. I gave it a chance, hoping things would be better than with the other two agencies, but wasted my time. It just seems to iffy, and the prices are obscene. If you have outstanding issues, consider small claims court. You can try the state consumer agencies, but they are overloaded and unreliable.

"Yes, I have dated much younger women. I'm not bragging, just saying it worked FOR US."

Obviously not lol.

Three dating services in 15 years and zip to show for it -- there's a shocker. Women fall over guys who post things like "I have to assume your mother's *** is still hurting from having you come out of it."

Go away now, little angry man.

you joined two dating services and are still single? You must be desperate or a weirdo!

Considering I, and countless others, just explained the immense problems with such agencies, I have to assume your mother's *** is still hurting from having you come out of it.

Probably an employee of NJ Singles.

And who said I am now single; I said I recently tried NJ Singles.

Learn to read and think, and then perhaps you won't remain the pariah you are.

"Weirdo" is devastating btw.

You are talking about being unprofessional? Look at what you just wrote.

You are so classy man..No wonder why you needed a dating service in the first place. You are the one that went online and filled out your information. As with any business that will continue calling you until you pick up the phone and say you are not interested. So, desperate?

I don't think so. Persistent? Yes. Desperation is you who filled out the questionnaire because you can't date people on your own.

And who said you were single? Maybe you should learn to read.

Look above where you wrote, "Now single again". You are alone for a reason and are trashing a company because you thought their prices were too high.

This Website has a Virus

Warning: This website has a virus. The last time i enter this website my computer started to act all crazy as if it was infected by a virus. It was only after i enter this website so the virus came from here. I think they are some very malicious people behind this website and post malware links and post to infect people's computers. My computer was working fine until i clicked on this site and started to click on the reviews. has anyone else experience computer problems when they enter this site? I just installed Avast virus protection and it did detect a virus. That is so weird that I came to this site and my computer got a virus. I wonder if all this post on here are real and who post them? because they don't even sound like real reviews but rather fake reviews made up on the spot. I will no longer be coming here since my computer was infected with malware. Thank God for Anti-virus software that was able to clear the virus from my computer and get it back to working condition. My first and last time using Pissed Consumer. i wonder if anyone else has gotten a virus from coming here. that is so odd and weird. I guess that's what i get for coming here.

If anyone wants to join me and proceeding in a class action suit please contact me. I'm in the process of a small claims suit against them.

I went in the fall, did the initial intro with questions and the whole bit. Worst and *** thing I did was give her my cc, Then they charged me 1000 dollars without telling me. All while I was reading the contract . At that point it was too late.

I tried to cancel that day and was told no. Your sucked into a contract with no way out. No refunds or cancellations. I'm looking to see if this is legal or not.

Hence why I'm taking them to court. They hook line and sinker you. You walk out not knowing what happen. They take advantage of the lonely and vulnerable.

If they had good customer service skills and did not force you into a contract with no refunds and actually cared about you, this would be a good company.

This company needs some work. Money hungry individuals

Yes, I would like o join you in the class action lawsuit. My father got scammed and I have POA for him and am trying to get his money back.

He got scammed into paying $132 a month for a 12 month contract and he got one lead that never showed up.

I called their billing company and they claim I have to call the office. I called the office 3 times to get a runaround and I never got a call back.
